Filiberto Ríos (Art Print)

€23.56 (plus tax)

Honoring Filiberto Ojeda Ríos, the revolutionary leader and comandante of the Ejército Popular Boricua, widely known as Los Macheteros.

A talented musician turned anti-colonial organizer, Ojeda Ríos dedicated decades of his life to the clandestine struggle for Puerto Rican sovereignty and self-determination. He famously led the 1983 "Operación Águila Blanca" and spent fifteen years underground eluding federal authorities, continuing to address the Puerto Rican people through covert broadcasts.

On September 23, 2005 (the sacred anniversary of El Grito de Lares) he was killed during an FBI siege at his home in Hormigueros, cementing his place in modern Boricua history as an enduring symbol of unyielding defiance and sacrifice.
